The third episode of The Walking Dead Season 2 will release next week.

Episode 3: In Harm's Way will release on PC/Mac and North American PS3 on Tuesday, European PS3 and international Xbox 360 on Wednesday, and on iOS on Thursday, Telltale announced.

A new trailer for the episode gives a first look at what happens when Clementine's group "is captured by a brutal new leader".

It was recently revealed that Ty Corey Franck, personal assistant to Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin, is working with the studio on its episodic adaptation of HBO's Game of Thrones series.

Telltale Games is also currently releasing episodes in the first season of The Wolf Among Us, based on the Fables comic series. In addition, it is developing Tales From the Borderlands, based on Gearbox Software's loot-driven first-person shooter.

Twitter Google+ Facebook 0 Comment Kalypso Media has released a new Tropico 5 trailer offering a look at the sequel's new multiplayer features.

Tropico 5 will mark the first game in the city building series that features co-operative and competitive multiplayer for up to four players.

In multiplayer scenarios, each dictator can build up his or her own cities on the same island, cooperating or competing with each other as they please.

Tropico 5 also introduces dynasties to the series' totalitarian political system. As the island advances from the 19th century through the 21st, players can promote El Presidente's family members to positions of power across the island's government - assuming, as always, that the citizens don't overthrow them.

The game is said to feature a "wealth" of other new features, including advanced trading mechanics, technology, scientific research trees and island exploration.

Tropico 5 will release globally for PC on May 23, and in North America on June 3. Xbox 360 and Mac versions are due over the summer, and a recently-announced PS4 version is targeted for Autumn.

"VizionEck is technically an FPS", says Michael Armbrust, founder of VizionEck, but as he goes on to explain, the game "has very little in common with the traditional FPS".

The player is a black and white cube, called a 'Ranger'. "As a Ranger, your health is displayed as the brightness of your outlines. Solid white and you're as healthy as an ox. Almost black and you're on the brink of destruction. Even the smallest enemy shot would mark your end," says Armbrust.

The developer uses this simple visual mechanic - and the abstract black and white visual style of the blocky environments - to create interesting gameplay scenarios.

"This actually has its advantages. The less health you have, the harder it is for enemies to see your outlines. Positioning yourself over a large black surface makes your cube practically invisible. Sneaking up on another player becomes easy."

He goes on, "There are 24 blocks in the spawn room [pictured above], but not all of them are Rangers. By just staying still, you can hide in plain sight. Other players will not know if you're just a block or if you're a Ranger. If the enemy blasts the wrong block, it leaves that player vulnerable for a counterattack."

The game's official website also details the 'Charge Block', essentially another identical-looking block that appears above the Ranger blocks, protecting them from shots from above. This, says the site, means that instead of heading for higher ground as you would in typical shooters, going lower down in maps gives players the tactical advantage.

No release date was announced, but a short trailer offers a first glimpse at the game's art style.
